Injinoo Welcomes Army

Injinoo Community welcomes the 21 Construction Squadron during 2004. The army is deployed as part of the Army TASIC Community Assistance program. They are working in Injinoo, Umagico and New Mapoon with their base setup in Injinoo. Five months will be spent assisting with the construction of housing, waste disposal, renovations, drainage, fencing, a piggery upgrade and health.

Injinoo benefits not only through the improved infrastructure but also through skill transfer in areas such as vehicle maintenance, building, computer use, health and first aid and general repairs and maintenance. The army has generously contributed advice and images to assist the construction of this web site.
